Cónan is a balladeer and muilti-instrumentalist born in Cork City. He moved to his great-grandfather’s townland in rural Mayo as a teen, where he found a deep interest in old Irish ballads, the people that wrote them and the contexts in which they were written. In addition to playing the guitar, bouzouki, mandolin and bodhrán, he is also an avid stringed instrument maker and repairman.
Cónan started playing in a duo with Seán in 2024 and they play a few times a week in Westport year round.

Seán, originally from Liverpool, is an All-Ireland winning flute and whistle player who has played with several successful bands including Rattle ‘N’ Reel, Culainn and The Clew Bay Pipe Band. He has performed with notable artists like Mundy, Damien Dempsey and Matt Molloy to name but a few.

Brian is one of the liveliest, cleanest and creative banjo players in Ireland. He is from Co. Mayo and was lucky to learn trad from his grandmother and her sisters who played fiddle in the house when he was young. He picked up the banjo as a boy and refined his technique in his teens. He has led many a session in the middle bar of Matt Mulloy’s pub for years, where he has played with some of the finest trad players in the world.
